“Kolm silma” is an electronic sculpture with three eyes (RGB LEDs). It changes LEDs’ colours when it detects movements. Hardware MCU: Selfmade Arduino Uno RGB LED: W2812 NeoPixels x 3pc. Sensor: RCWL-0516 Microwave Proximity RCWL-0516 RSWL-0516 is a microwave proximity sensor. Operates on 4-28V. Built in 3.3V voltage regulator. Works at 3.18GHz. Uses droppler radarContinue reading “Kolm Silma”

The Green Pulsar
This is an artistic representation of a type of star called a pulsar. First discovered by Jocelyn Bell in 1967. The display is made of nine RGB LEDs (3×3). Each colour (Red, Green and Blue) are separately controlled by 555 timers to fade in/out each colour independently. Malevich
This artwork is inspired by famous suprematist artist Kazimir Malevich (1879-1935) and his painting “Black Square”. But I am not so radical. I have four LED squares inside one black square. Slowly blinking their different coloured lights. I need to make another video when there is not so light and you can actually see theContinue reading “Malevich”
The Keyboard
I had one old and cheap rubber dome keyboard with missing keys. So I take it apart and found this controller PCB board. The board pads were coated with graphite. I removed it and soldered wires on it. And put it on a breadboard. Then I mapped all rows and column combinations to find whatContinue reading “The Keyboard”
Lavva kellä
“Lavva kellä” – it means a “desk clock”. My circuit Sculpture “Lavva kellä”. It is a small desk clock. All-seeing eye mean that its an internet-connected device (IoT). Once a day it synchronizes a clock with NTP time server. There are two rows of shift registersand all numbers are individual 7-segment LEDs. Shift registers andContinue reading “Lavva kellä”
Lämmämõõdusk
Description A device that measures the ambient temperature in the environment in which it is located. And displays it on the screen. Artistic description Plant-like structures. Display like blossom. Bottom woodblock aged with brushing with a wire brush and oxidation solution (steel wool + vingar). Animations When the number to display changes it plays shortContinue reading “Lämmämõõdusk”
Joule thief candle
This is a basic Joule thief circuit. It uses one AA (1.5) battery. When batteries are almost empty. Then there is actually still lot of energy. And it squeezes all energy out of it. https://taunoerik.art/2020/04/03/joule-thief-candle/ https://hackaday.io/project/174855-candle

Ultrasonic distance measurements – freeform circuit
If you stand in front of it, it measures distance between you and displays it. https://hackaday.io/project/174711-ultrasonic-distance-measurements
